Individual items are removed from the cast tree by cutting the sprue (the link that attaches the item to the tree). The metal is then smoothed with files and sanded.

The final touching up and polishing of jewelry items are important to ensure that the surface is defect-free and smooth, in order to reflect incident light uniformly.

Polishing will take place in regions of the piece that can be accessed by the polishing medium. Therefore we ensure we use media to support the type, shape and design of the jewelry piece.
